This book is an indepth study of the work of the missionaries of the Reformed Church in America in the Arcot area of Tamil Nadu; the early history of their evangelization: the various problems they faced and the methods they evolved – and modified – to meet them: their contribution to the emergence of Indian Christian Communities. This study also includes excerpts of private papers and data collected by personal interviews with the missionaries who actually worked in the mission area.
