Vision From the Margin

Three generations of the Guru-Disciples and their literary output is the source based on which the author has made a socio-philosophical reading of the impact the movement has had in Kerala in particular and in Indian society. The new religious consciousness emerging globally has its roots in the creative spirituality of ‘one race, one religion, one divinity’ that the late 19th and early 20th century socio-religious reformer Narayana Guru proposed. The book gives the historical evolution of the movement and its philosophical and sociological significance in order to create a Modern India.
