Press and Social Responsibility – A Content Analysis of Newspapers in North East India

The press is often blamed for reporting blood-dripping stories that deal with violence and crime than news about development, peace and people’s movements. The author, using content analysis as a research tool has examined in depth nearly 25,000 news reports, articles, editorials and letters to the editor to examine how responsible the press is.
